The Scorpion is a popular double hander that was designed in 1960. It is lightweight with a hull that is 4.27 metres long and weighs 81kg. It carries 3 sails a main of 6.7 square metres a jib of 3.25 square metres and a spinnaker of 11.14 square metres. It has a rig that can be raked on the water which enables the boat to be sailed in a wide range of weather and crew weights.
