The Laser is a single hander that was designed in 1969. It is a very popular class of boat with in excess of 215,000 boats worldwide. The hull is 4 metres long and weighs 58.97kg. It can be bought with 3 sailplans. The smaller is the Laser 4.7 with a sail area of 4.7 square metres. Next is the Laser Radial with a sail area of 5.76 square metres. The full size rig is the Standard with a sail area of 7.06 square metres.
